Mountain Huts

Here are the details of the mountain huts in the area. The term "hut" is a bit of a misnomer. While their style varies from simple shelters to quite large buildings, the huts in the Val d'Anniviers are all very comfortable, and "mountain guesthouse" would probably be a better description. Most huts accommodate guests in bunk beds or one very large mattress long enough for a dozen people to sleep on. Blankets and pillows are provided but you need to bring your own cotton or silk sleeping bag. Some of the huts provide good hot meals and some even have hot showers.
